Office Hours April 2021
Alex Lindsay’s Office Hours
For a limited time, on Saturdays, in April 2021, I’ll be joining Alex Lindsay’s “Office Hours” group to cover building a basic Virtual Production “sets and stages” using Unreal Engine.
What is “Office Hours”? It’s a daily Zoom chat session, streamed on YouTube, that brings together professionals and educators to focus on discussions that predominantly revolve around technologies and skills related to video and audio production and streaming. You can check out a back-catalog of “Office Hours” streams here on Alex Lindsay’s YouTube Channel.
You can join the stream, daily starting at 10am Eastern/7am Pacific using this Zoom link.
In April, I’ll be leading lessons and discussions focused specifically on building virtual production “sets and stages” using Unreal Engine. We’ll be using Alex’s custom Q&A System “Mukana” to drive the discussion with voting-interest-weighted audience questions. Our sessions will start at 1pm Eastern/10am Pacific US time on Saturdays for four weeks in April. Hope to see you there!

Immersive Media Lab Launched at Drexel

Happy to share that we’ve successfully launched the Immersive Research Lab (IRL) at Drexel Univerisity’s Westphal College of Media Art & Design. The lab will host it first classes in Immersive Media this quarter, with two public exhibition projects being produced by students… an Immersive Projection based Ballet presentation of Romeo & Juliet, and large screen, immersive interactive displays installed as part of a historical gallery exhibit showing a retrospective of the works of renowned fashion designer James Galanos in partnership with the Fox Historic Costume Collection.
